The sequential reaction of meso ‐octaethylporphyrinogen tetraanion with Ni II followed by Co II , Ru II , Ni II allowed the build up of mixed coordination organometallic aggregates such as 1 , which undergo thermally, chemically, or photochemically induced intramolecular electron transfers.
