A “library” of oligomeric coordination compounds is obtained from gallium( III ) ions and ethylene‐bridged di(8‐hydroxyquinoline) derivatives. In a dynamic selection process the mixture is transformed quantitatively into a single, defined metalla‐cryptate by addition of appropriate templates, as illustrated schematically here.
