The addition of difluorovinylidene (1) to difluoroacetylene (2) at cryogenic temperatures leads to the allenylcarbene 3 . Subsequent irradiation results in the expected methylenecyclopropene 4 . Furthermore the addition of difluorovinylidene to acetylene is investigated.
