The concept of adjusting the framework charge of sodalite‐like compounds by substitution of O by N is exemplified by the novel oxonitridosodalites M 8− m H m [P 12 N 18 O 6 ]X 2 (MCu, Li; XCl, Br, I). The framework of these compounds, which are synthesized by reaction of the respective metal chlorides with (NH 2 ) 2 P(O)NP(NH 2 ) 3 ⋅NH 4 Cl, consists of corner‐sharing PN 3 O tetrahedra, as shown on the right.
