Reaction of silver(I) trifluoromethylsulfonate with the 1,3‐dicyclohexyl‐2,4‐dimesityl‐1,3‐diphospha‐2,4‐disilacyclobutane ( 1 ) leads to the expected mononuclear silver complex 2 in 65% yield. 2 is thermally resistant up to 110 °C. Addition of a 1 : 1 mixture of LiP(H)Cy (Cy = cyclohexyl)/lithium diisopropylamide furnishes, under a remarkable phosphanide insertion reaction into a Si–P bond, the first mixed metalated dilithium disilver silaphosphanide ( 3 ) with a very short Ag–Ag distance suggesting attractive dispersion‐type interactions (e. g. relativistic effects).
