Trimerization of Acetonitrile through Trimethylindium MeCN can be trimerized in the presence of InMe 3 and a trace of CsF to form the InN 2 C 3 heterocycle [Me 2 In{HNC(Me)} 2 C(CN)] ( 3 ). 3 was characterized by NMR, IR and MS techniques as well as by an X‐ray structure determination. According to the structural analysis 3 forms an infinite chain‐like coordination polymer, [ 3 ] n , along [001] by the cooperative interactions of In…N contacts and N–H…N bridges.
