Metal Complexes of Dyes. XI. A Dinuclear Bis N,S Platinum(II) Complex with an Indigoid 1,3,5,7‐Tetraazafulvalene‐4,8‐dithione The dianion of 2,6‐bis(diethylamino)‐3,4,7,8‐tetrahydro‐1,3,5,7‐tetraazafulvalene‐4,8‐dithione ( 1 ‐2 H + ) reacts with the chloro‐bridged platinum(II)‐complex [(Et 3 P)PtCl 2 ] 2 to give a dark green (N,S)‐bischelate (Et 3 P)(Cl)Pt( 1 ‐2 H + )Pt(Cl)(PEt 3 ) ( 2 ). Spectroscopic data and a 1 H‐/ 1 H‐2D‐COSY‐NMR‐spectra are discussed. Chelation leads to a bathochromic shift of about 200 nm.
