A revision of the model of consumer behaviour based on the theory of reasoned action is described with a view to explaining consumer behaviour with respect to the environment and its connection with the ecological concern of individuals. A structural equation model is proposed and is verified empirically with respect to a hypothetical recycling project in the Spanish market.
