The ethanol extract of the flowers of the plant Striga senegalensis (family : Scrophulariaceae) has been found to possess antiimplantation activity in female albino rats when administered orally. At a dose of 120 mg/kg body weight implantation of fertilized ova was prevented in 100% of the treated animals. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
