It may interest readers of this journal to know what lies behind the names of the different institutions that publish scientific papers in Packaging Technology and Science (PTS). This can be obtained in various ways, but the most living picture comes through interviews with the heads of those institutions. It is thus our aim to undertake a number of interviews, in the first stage with leading institutions which have contributed to the scientific discussion in the field of packaging by publishing in PTS. The first one is with Dr Anders Sörås, who has relatively recently taken up the position of Managing Director of PACKFORSK, The Swedish Packaging Research Institute. Situated in Stockholm, PACKFORSK is the central research institute for packaging and distribution in Sweden, with about 30 experienced researchers.
