One of the most perplexing problems in Knowledge Management today is how to build business cases for KM projects. Although it is argued that knowledge itself cannot be measured, this article describes the sometimes creative methods companies are using to cost justify KM projects before they are undertaken and gauge their benefits once they are underway.
