( 3 H)‐Azoxybacilin, a new antifungal agent, was prepared in five steps. The label was introduced by reduction of 2‐t‐butoxycarbonylamino‐succinic‐acid‐1‐t‐butylester‐carbonic‐acid‐ethylester anhydride ( 2 ) with LiB 3 H 4 generated from tritium gas via Li 3 H.
