The stereoselective total synthesis of the antimalarial agents artemisinin‐d 3 ( 1 ), dihydroartemisinin‐d 3 ( 2 ), and arteether‐d 3 ( 3 ), incorporating 2 H at C‐16 (C‐9 methyl) is reported.
