The essential oils of species of the genus Lophostemon have been examined. The oils, which were obtained in 0.03–0.5% yields, were similar in that the principal components were α‐pinene, aromadendrene, allo ‐aromadendrene, globulol and spathulenol. Copyright © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
