The essential oil from the aerial parts of Eremocharis triradiata (Wolff.) Johnston (Apiaceae), collected in the Parque Arqueológico del Sacsayhuaman, Perú, was obtained by hydrodistillation in 0.04% (v/w) yield related to fresh weight. By GC–MS analyses, 58 compounds were identified. Phenols constituted 69.8% of the oil, with methyl eugenol as the main constituent. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
