A rapid reversed phase HPLC method was developed for the separation of tribenuron‐methyl and its three major metabolites (methyl‐2‐aminosulphonyl benzoate, 4‐methoxy‐6‐methyl‐2‐methylamino‐1,3,5‐triazine and saccharin) using RP‐18 column and methanol–water (60:40, v/v) as mobile phase. The limit of detection of all the four compounds was 0.01 ppm. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
