Enantiopure (1 R ,2 R )‐1,2‐diaminocyclohex‐4‐ene derivatives have been synthesized by the ruthenium‐catalyzed ring‐closing metathesis reaction of (4 R ,5 R )‐ N , N′ ‐bis[( S )‐1‐phenylethyl]‐4,5‐diamino‐1,7‐octadiene dihydrochloride.
