A new diterpene with the dolabellane skeleton 1 has been isolated from the sponge of the Indian Ocean, Sigmosceptrella quadrilobata . Its structure elucidation, including absolute stereochemistry, was performed with the aid of MS, NMR, and CD data and by molecular modeling. Compound 1 is moderately cytotoxic against four tumor cell lines.
