The η 6 ‐1,3,5‐triphosphabenzene transition metal complexes 12a , b , 14 , and 16 have been synthesized for the first time by the displacement of η 6 ‐arene ligands (toluene, benzene and naphthalene) with 2,4,6‐tri‐ tert ‐butyl‐1,3,5‐triphosphabenzene ( 9 ). The new complexes have been fully characterized by a combination of elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, and 1 H‐, 13 C‐ and 31 P‐NMR spectroscopy.
