This article presents EGPROM ( e mpirical– g eometrical pro pagation m odel), a wide‐band radiowave propagation model. A graphical user interface was built so that a large number of environments can be analyzed. The model was improved to allow simulation of diversity techniques and to include the mobile antenna radiation pattern. Different functions can be evaluated to obtain a complete characterization of the radio channel. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Comput Appl Eng Educ 7: 120–132, 1999
