In this article, we present a transmission line application (TLA) MATLAB Toolbox capable of solving the single‐stub and double‐stub matching problems for transmission lines using the graphical method of the Smith chart. The package handles both the short stub and open stub cases and provides an analytical and graphical solution. For each of the aforementioned problems, the software produces the corresponding Smith chart and a summary of the final results. The software provides the user with the flexibility to tackle other potential design problems that can be handled by the Smith chart techniques. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
