In this letter, an approximate time‐domain Green's function of a microstrip structure is presented, and is applied to analyze an electrically thin microstrip transmission line. Numerical examples show that the approximate time‐domain Green's function is effective. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 25: 423–425, 2000.
