In numerous radio‐communication applications, the knowledge of the electrical field along a given path is required. In urban environments, at high frequencies, the study of the field values is a time‐consuming process. In order to accelerate this task, two interpolation methods for an approximate and fast evaluation of the field are presented. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
