In this letter, a comparison between measurements and simulations at 2.5 GHz carried out by the authors is presented in order to show that ray‐tracing techniques make it possible to estimate with sufficient accuracy not only the signal mean level, but also its local statistics. ©2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
