A small, printed wraparound antenna with an omnidirectional radiation pattern is presented. The novel antenna consists of an array of patches, each incorporating a single shorting post to significantly reduce the size of the radiator. The measured ripple in the roll and axial planes was less than 4 dB on a cylinder with a diameter <0.45λ 0 . ©2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 24: 133–135, 2000.
