A procedure to design stable circuits containing more than one active device is proposed. A new criterion to guarantee conditional stability in given regions of the termination planes has been stated. The method is based on a reformulation of the Rollett proviso which allows circuit synthesis by a CAD tools optimizer. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 23: 354–357, 1999.
