Using infinity as the return path for a common‐mode current to include the contribution from a displacement current, a modified multiconductor transmission‐line approach is proposed to predict the emissions from the common‐mode current and differential‐mode current of a printed circuit board. The approach is verified by experiments. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 23: 174–177, 1999.
