Abstract In this paper, the tilt (θ) of a feedline with regard to a slot is taken into account to improve the cavity model, and also to see the effect of this angle θ on the input impedance. In fact, the angle is introduced in the voltage discontinuity of the slot on the feeding line. The computed results are compared to experiments with several θ‐tilts, and give good results. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 22: 395–396, 1999
