In this paper a simple method of moments (MoM) solution is given for the problem of determining TE resonant frequencies of inhomogeneous dielectric bodies with rotational symmetry. The body of interest may be placed in arbitrarily stratified dielectric medium, which also may be bounded by one or two horizontal perfect electric conductor (PEC) plates. The general electric field integral equation is given, which is then specialized to sample geometry and solved numerically. A comparison of obtained data with results given by other authors is included. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 21: 1–4, 1999.
