An intrinsically matched coplanar waveguide (CPW)‐fed two‐wavelength slot‐loop antenna operating at 10 GHz has been designed, fabricated, and tested on a 10kΩ⋅cm high‐resistivity silicon (HRS) wafer. The measured return loss −24 dB and far‐field radiation patterns are in good agreement with simulated results. The operating bandwidth (defined for a return loss of −10 dB) is 0.89 GHz, and the calculated beamwidth is 120°, while the gain is 5 dB. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
