Compacted perimeter 3‐D dyadic Green's functions are derived under threefold symmetry for a circular ferrite circulator which is radially inhomogeneous. It is demonstrated how the perpendicular electric field, and therefore the s ‐parameters, may be determined with these dyadic Green's functions. A large reduction in the number of dyadic Green's function elements required for numerical evaluation results, simplifying all formulas dependent upon these elements. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
