A more general expression for the multiple building diffraction attenuation function using both GTD and PO techniques is presented. The bounds of applicability of the result are derived, assuming that the base station antenna may be located at any distance from the first building, as well as having to be sufficiently below it so that the other buildings lie outside the transition region of the first building. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
