An efficient algorithm to analyze the six‐port junction between a circular waveguide and four side‐coupled rectangular waveguides is presented. The junction is a typical component in dual polarization corrugated horns mode launchers. The method is based on the generalized admittance matrix computation by algorithms specially tailored to obtain an efficient analysis on typical medium power workstations. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
