Scalar plane‐wave diffraction by a finite number of equidistant circular disks has been considered. An accurate numerical solution of the problem has been obtained which enables one to compute the scattered field characteristics with any desired accuracy within the digital precision of the computer. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
