The exact analytical solutions of lossless nonuniform transmission lines (NTLs) with a characteristic impedance function Z c ( x )= Z 0 (1+ kx ) −ν are obtained. The two‐port ABCD matrix and several numerical examples of the scattering matrix S of the NTLs are given. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 17: 195–197, 1998.
