The integral formalism worked out earlier by Barnett and Lothe for uniformly moving straight dislocations and surface elastic waves is extended to surface polaritons propagating along the boundary between two anisotropic dielectrics. By proceeding on this formalism, we find the expressions for surface impedances and dispersion equations for polaritons. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 14:301–305, 1997.
