A novel piezoelectrically adjustable array of mirrors is proposed for large reflector antenna surface distortion compensation. As compared to the conventional approach with variable phase shifters and amplitude feed array, significantly lower rf loss, mass, and cost reflector antennas can be achieved with this innovative approach. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
