The limitations of the finite‐difference method can be complemented by the conformal mapping for the analysis of shielded strip lines. The hybrid approach of these two methods becomes a simplified and efficient procedure. In this study, to simulate the quasistatic two‐dimensional analysis, two structures of shielded strip lines are carried out by personal computer. The associated numerical results are compared with those of other investigations. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 14, 111–115, 1997
