A lumped‐element circulator with a continuous rf magnetic circuit has been developed. The circulator uses ceramic multilayer technologies and a novel conductor embedding method. The broad isolation bandwidth and simple structure of this circulator will contribute to the cost‐effective stabilization of rf circuits in mobile telephone sets. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
