The temperature and frequency dependences of the quality factors (Qs) and the resonant frequency of a planar microwave high‐temperature superconductor (HTS) are investigated on the basis of quantum‐particle statistics. Comparisons are made between the theoretically derived results and experimental results for Q values and the resonant frequency. ©1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
