Abstract A synthesis method based on geometrical optics to design a dual‐reflector antenna system with maximum power transfer efficiency is presented. The system has nonuniform phase and amplitude distributions on the aperture. In our design, the effect of aperture blocking is also considered. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
