New closed‐form expressions are presented for the harmonic and intermodulation performance of subcarrier multiplexed (SCM) systems operating at or near saturation. Also, closed‐form expressions are obtained for the carrier‐to‐intermodulation ratio resulting from equal‐amplitude equally spaced input modulation currents. The results obtained are compared with previously published results. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
