This article presents a model‐based method for dynamic magnetic resonance imaging. This method models the time variation of an object by a generalized harmonic model, thus converting the dynamic imaging problem to a parameter identification problem. Experimental results are shown to demonstrate that this method is able to produce high‐resolution time‐sequential images from a dynamic object with periodic or quasi‐periodic time variations. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
