The behavior of the adducts of aromatic amines with epoxide compounds as accelerators in curing of an unsaturated polyester resin was studied. To determine their usefulness, the gelation times, peak exotherm temperatures, and chromatographic and gravimetric analyses of the products extracted from the cured resin samples were investigated. The effectiveness of the adducts was compared with that for N,N ‐dimethylaniline. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. J Appl Polm Sci 65:1525–1531, 1997
