Diffusion rates of organic solvents and water into polycarbonate film were measured under saturated vapor, and the diffusion coefficients were determined by combining the finite element method and the least squares method. The logarithm of the diffusion coefficients decreased linearly with the increase of the molecular volumes of organic solvents and water. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
