Four cassane furanoditerpenes, including the known α‐caesalpin and caesalpin F, were isolated from the roots of Caesalpinia boducella . The 1 H and 13 C NMR spectra of all four compounds were completely assigned by using a combination of 2D NMR experiments, which included 1 H– 1 H COSY, HMQC, HMBC and NOESY sequences. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
