The effects of pulse interval and flow on relaxation and signal‐to‐noise ratio in an on‐flow liquid chromatography (LC)–NMR experiment were investigated theoretically. The results led to a procedure for the optimization of on‐flow LC–NMR experiments. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
