1 H and 13 C NMR data for a synthetic dimeric Lewis X octasaccharide derivative {Gal(β1–4)[Fuc(α1–3)]GlcNAc(β1–3)Gal(β1–4)[Fuc(α1–3)]GlcNAc(β1–3)Gal(β1–4)Glc[β1–(CH 2 ) 8 CO 2 C 2 H 5 ]} are reported. Some observations on C,H correlations over two and three bonds, which should prove useful in the assignment and structural investigation of oligosaccharides, are discussed.
