IR and Raman spectra were used to follow the reaction of epoxides with carboxylic acids. A number of bands in the IR and Raman spectra were used for quantitative and qualitative analysis of the reaction, including kinetic measurements. The results obtained were used for the analysis of epoxide reactions on a rubber surface, in a rubber–resin mixture and in prepared plastic constructions.
