This paper describes a case of Pneumocystis carinii (PC) presenting as a common bile duct intraluminal mass in an HIV‐infected 30‐yr‐old homosexual man. In fine‐needle aspiration smears, exuberant vascular proliferation associated with multinucleated giant‐cell reactions was found within the granular exudate of PC. Diagn.
